How to use Google Translate – Translate website and text
Internet is an Ocean of information however, most of the content or information on the Internet is in a language that we do not understand. This is why millions of Internet users depend on “Google translate”. Google Translator translates pages of text or the entire website. Here we will see how to use Google Translate.
How to use Google Translate on your Laptop or Desktop:
- Visit the website at translate.google.com.
Copy and paste the text that you wish to translate into the left-field of the translator or type the text. On the right-hand side of the page select the language to which you wish to translate the text.
You can also click the pencil symbol or the Handwriting button which is there at the bottom of the text field and draw characters to translate.
You can hear to pasted or typed text clicking the “Listen” button. This helps to learn the pronunciation.
How to translate a website?
Log on to Translate.google.com
Copy and paste the URL of the website that you wish to translate into the left-field of the translator.
Select the language of the website by clicking the buttons at the top.
Select the language that you wish to translate the website into.
Now click the link in the right field to open the translated page.
The structure of the sentence may not translate properly as Google is not a perfect Translator. Hence it should be used as a guide just to get the meaning of a block of text or sentence.
