How to access Google Meet from Gmail?

Good news for Google users! Google has added a Google Meet video calling feature to Gmail giving quick access to video calling. It has been a month and a half since the work from home culture started in the lives of many. Those who are working from home have started looking for ways to improve productivity and this is where Google Meet emerged.

G Suite users now have the option to use Google Meet by just logging into Gmail accounts. The feature has been enabled and initiating a video call is just a click away from your inbox.

How to access Google Meet from Gmail?

Start a video Meeting from Gmail:

  • Sign in to your Gmail to see the “Meet” feature in your inbox.
  • Click on “Start a Meeting” to initiate a video call or a meeting.
  • From the screen that pops up, click “Join Now” and add people to join the meeting.

Join a Meeting:

  1. To join a meeting, click on Join a meeting and enter the meeting code that the organizer has sent.
  2. Click “Join” after entering the meeting code.

 

With lakhs of people working and learning from home, with Meet in Gmail, one can quickly initiate or join a meeting. For some G Suite users, the feature is already active with Google Meet options appearing on the left side of the inbox, just above chat bar. We are lucky to see the feature in our inbox today.
